Karol Radziszewski, born in 1980 in Poland, is a multidisciplinary artist who works across various mediums including film, photography, painting, and installations. His creative approach involves an archive-based methodology that encompasses a wide range of cultural, historical, religious, social, and gender references. Since 2005, he has taken on the role of publisher and editor-in-chief of DIK Fagazine, and in 2015, he established the Queer Archives Institute.

His artistic endeavors have been showcased in esteemed institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, Zacheta National Gallery of Art, and CCA Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw; Whitechapel Gallery in London; Kunsthalle Wien in Vienna; New Museum in New York; VideoBrasil in Sao Paulo; Tokyo Photographic Art Museum; Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova in Ljubljana; Wroclaw Contemporary Museum; and Muzeum Sztuki in Lodz. Radziszewski’s involvement extends to several international biennales such as PERFORMA 13 in New York; the 7th Göteborg Biennial; the 4th Prague Biennial; and the 15th WRO Media Art Biennale.

His films have been featured at renowned film festivals including the T-Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival in Wroclaw (2014, 2012); the Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival in Warsaw (2019, 2013); BFI Flare: London LGBTIQ+ Film Festival (2014); and the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (2011), among others.

In 2021, Sternberg Press published “The Power of Secrets,” a book dedicated to Radziszewski’s archival practice, providing insight into his creative process and methodologies.
